With three wins to his name in 2017, Connor Swift may have joined Madison Genesis as a relative unknown in 2017 but quickly became notorious.
Victories came at rounds six and ten of the Tour Series, as well as the team's only national road race win of 2017 at the Leicester Castle Classic.
Debut appearances in the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour of Britain failed to phase the young talent, as he featured in breakaways at both events.
It has been a remarkable comeback for Swift who joined the team after recovering from a horrific mid-season crash in 2016.
Sustaining six vertebrae fractures, seven rib fractures, one fracture on the base of his skull, metacarpal fractures on his right hand, right scapula fracture, small pneumothorax on right lung and a left tibial laceration, Swift made a stunning recovery.
Back on the bike within months, racing and winning at regional level showed his level of commitment to returning quickly and seamlessly to the sport.
But nobody could have predicted the level of Connor's success in his first year as a full time professional.
"I enjoyed every minute of my first year with Madison Genesis in 2017. On a personal note I had a great season with some victories along the way and without my team mates on those certain days they may not have been possible.
"Looking towards 2018 I am very motivated and excited to improve on last season and be a part of this team again."
