Tom Stewart has confirmed he will move away from Madison Genesis in 2017.

Stewart’s move follows three years with Madison Genesis and comes after a breakout season, during which he took high profile race wins and rubbed shoulders with World Tour opposition.

Victories at the Lincoln GP, Velothon Wales and GP of Wales placed Stewart at the top-table of riders on British domestic teams and when challenged on the biggest stage, he again showed his class.

Eleventh at the Tour de Yorkshire and eighth in the Dwars Door het Hageland were season highlights for the rider who first came to prominence in 2014 when he finished third on stage six of the Tour of Britain.

Team manager Mike Northey spoke highly of Tom’s contribution to the team:

“Tom’s progress during his time with the us has been inspiring to watch and his hard work has been rewarded with some exceptional results throughout the season.

“I think everyone at Madison Genesis would like to thank Tom for the last three years and wish him well as he makes the next step in his career.”

Madison Genesis will announce their complete 2017 team roster soon.
